San Diego boasts great weather year-round but let’s face it, we do have seasons. Winter night time temps get downright frigid and for many homeless people that means very cold nights. For the third year in a row Zerorez San Diego is making a difference. Our third blanket drive has begun and thanks to our wonderful Zerorez customers, we are making a difference. Zerorez technicians care about their customers. They are highly trained and extremely conscientious to make sure they do a great job for every customer. They are cleaning a room for free in our customer’s homes for the donation of a new blanket. This year we are partnering with St. Vincent de Paul and the Alpha project.
St. Vincent de Paul village has spent many years working to prevent and end homelessness one life at a time. They have many programs to fit all of the rehabilitative needs of the homeless. They offer a wide array of housing and support services for the homeless in San Diego.
The Alpha Project is a non-profit that serves over 4,000 men, women and children each day. They offer help with affordable housing, substance abuse treatment, housing for people with special needs, basic and emergency aid for the homeless, transportation assistance, mental health counseling and other community services.
The Zerorez blanket drive will end on December 5 and the Zerorez staff and technicians will then deliver the blankets personally to people in need at St. Vincent de Paul and Alpha Project. The Zerorez family appreciates the non-profit organizations that serve the community in San Diego. The San Diego community has been extremely supportive to Zerorez and this is our chance to give back.
