Zerorez® COVID-19 FAQ's
We advise you to follow the counsel of the CDC. “Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (for example: tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks) with household cleaners and EPA registered disinfectants that are appropriate for the surface, following label instructions.
Also – specifically for carpet the CDC recommends. “For soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floors, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. After cleaning – use products with the EPA-approved emerging viral pathogen claims that are suitable for porous surfaces.”

Cleaning the visibly dirty surfaces is the first step the CDC recommends for the prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses in households. Providing a cleaner, safer and more healthy living environment has always been one of the biggest benefits Zerorez® provides for their customers.
Our technicians are doing their part to help keep others healthy by washing their hands regularly, disinfecting equipment between cleanings, and staying home when feeling ill. The CDC tells us that COVID-19 spreads from person-to-person. Transmission of novel coronavirus to persons from surfaces contaminated with the virus has not been documented.
Zerorez® is a critical part of the first step of the CDC's recommendation for cleaning. The CDC states “cleaning refers to removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.”
Cleaning will prepare for you to follow the second step the CDC recommends – disinfecting. They advise “Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
