What is Zr Water®?

ZEROREZ® cleaning services are based on our unique Zr Water® technology. Zr Water® is enhanced water that is electrolyzed and oxidized to create a powerful cleaning solution without harmful toxins or chemicals. Zr Water® acts as an effective cleaning agent, which means we do not use harmful soaps or detergents to clean, unlike traditional carpet cleaners. Soap and detergent residues can bond to the carpet fibers and that continues to attract dust and dirt making your carpet re-soil quickly. In short, the Zerorez patented cleaning process means your carpets stay cleaner longer and dry faster.

I have had my carpet cleaned before and it took days to dry. With Zerorez, how long does it take the carpet to dry?

At ZEROREZ® we add steps to our cleaning process most carpet cleaners do not include which helps reduce the dry time. By pretreating and preparing the carpet fibers for cleaning, we reduce the amount of water it takes to completely rinse the carpet clean. We take extra vacuum strokes to remove as much excess moisture as possible and we set up specially designed fans (air movers) as we clean in order to increase airflow and reduce the dry time. Our typical dry time is less than 24 hours, but dry time can be affected by the temperature and humidity inside the home. It is completely safe to walk on the carpet as long as you’re comfortable with the cleanliness of your feet.

Do you have a guarantee? What does it cover?

Zerorez offers a thirty-day Gotta Love It Guarantee™! If you are unsatisfied for any reason within 30 days after your cleaning we will gladly return to your home and re-clean the areas you are not happy with.

How does Zerorez charge for carpet cleaning?

Each franchised location sets their pricing locally. Typically Zerorez charges per room. A room in most locations is considered an area ranging from 200 to 250 square feet. Other areas like hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, areas rugs, etc., are priced differently than the room rate, so please check with your local franchise for a quote on all your cleaning needs.

Does Zerorez clean other things besides carpet?

Because Zerorez’s Patented Zr Water® technology works incredibly well on all surfaces, we are proud to offer other services. Most franchises offer our core services, which include: Carpet Cleaning Upholstery Cleaning Carpet and Upholstery Fabric Protector Tile, Grout, Stone Cleaning and Sealing Countertop Cleaning and Sealing. Each franchise determines what services they want to offer, so please check with your local franchise to see if they offer other services like Leather Cleaning, Duct Cleaning, Carpet Repairs, Area Rug Dusting and Washing, etc.

Is a fabric protector applied to the carpet?

The application of Fabric Protector is an additional service we offer. Most carpet manufacturers apply a topical fabric protector to their carpets during manufacturing. With time, this added layer of protector could be worn down or removed by harsh cleaning chemicals. Your carpet’s ability to resist soiling and staining would be reduced over time, allowing spots and spills to become stains. Zerorez uses the industry’s best protectant that can be applied to the carpet after cleaning. Please check with your local franchise for a quote to apply fabric protector to your carpet or upholstery.

How do you treat pet stains and odor? Is there an extra charge for the treatment?

Zerorez understands that pet accidents happen, causing odor and discoloration in your floor coverings. If not properly treated, biological matter such as urine can start to stick. Most of our Pet Treatments require additional cost and the technician will discuss those cost options before beginning treatment. Any service recommended by a technician is optional. If you decline a pet treatment it does void our 30-day Gotta Love It Guarantee ™ for that area of your home. If there is concern over a biological issue we will inspect the carpet with a special UV light that helps illuminate concerns in the carpet. Our trained cleaning technicians will review the condition of the carpet, the severity of the situation, and what the options are to treat the spots. Our technicians will be able to discuss all the options, costs and solutions with you when they inspect your home and review the existing conditions.

What can you do about residue left behind from “do it yourself” spotting chemicals or other cleaning companies?

Harmful soaps and detergents left behind by “Do it Yourself” spotting chemicals or improper cleaning techniques can create a sticky mess. Soaps and detergents are engineered to attract dust and dirt and if left in your carpet, they will continue to attract dust and dirt making your carpet re-soil quickly. If you do not use Zerorez, the next carpet cleaner will most likely add a new layer of sticky soaps and detergents to your carpet, thereby compounding the problem. What is needed is to neutralize and remove the sticky residue that has been left behind. Zerorez’s carpet pre-conditioner is engineered without soaps and detergents so we do not add to the problem. By pre-treating and agitating the carpet, we start to break down the residues in your carpet. Thoroughly rinsing the carpet with our patented cleaning process and our Zr Water® we are able to flush out a lot of the existing soils and residue. Depending on the level of residue that has bonded to your carpet fibers, we may not be able to break it all down the first time we clean. After cleaning with the Zerorez way it is important to not add new soaps or detergents back into the carpet. We can provide bottles of our carpet friendly spotting agents and our Zr Water® for your future spotting needs. We will refill the bottles anytime we come back to clean your furnishings free of charge.

What about area rugs? Can you clean them in the home or do you take them off-site?

We can clean some types of area rugs in your home as long as there are not biological issues in the rug (such as urine, blood, feces or vomit) and there is an appropriate surface to clean them on. For example we would not want to clean an area rug on top of your beautiful hardwood floors. Please check with your local franchise to see what level of rug cleaning they offer. They will also be happy to provide a quote for your area rug cleaning needs.

Do you clean air ducts? What is the cost?

Some franchises offer Duct Cleaning services. Please check with your local franchise to see if they offer duct cleaning and for a quote for your Duct Cleaning needs.

Do you offer any in-home cleaning products I can buy?

Yes. We have three products we offer for your “do it yourself” spotting needs. 1. We offer an environmentally friendly general spotter that is engineered without soaps or detergents. This product is good for general spotting on normal spills like food or soda and general soiling, etc. 2. We offer an enzyme-based deodorizer that works great for pet stains and other mal-odors in your home. 3. We also offer our Zr Water® for spotting and rinsing the carpet. We will refill the bottles free of charge every time we do additional work in your home or place of business.

What days are you open?

For our residential customers, most franchises are open Monday through Saturday. Check with your local franchise for their hours of operation.

What should I do before Zerorez arrives for my appointment?

A few days before your appointment we will send you an email with some helpful tips about your cleaning experience. Before we arrive for your appointment: 1. We ask that you thoroughly vacuum the areas we will be cleaning. 2. We run one person crews, so we ask that you move the furniture that you want moved. Some Franchises offer furniture moving for a small per area fee. If you need us to move the furniture please let us know ahead of time so we can send a two-person crew. 3. We do not move large or heavy furniture like pianos, entertainment centers, bookcases, large beds or other similarly heavy items. We also do not move electronics (TV's, game systems, computers, lamps, etc.)

Is there a cancellation fee if I have to cancel my appointment?

No. We understand life is busy and unexpected things can change your schedule. If you need to reschedule, please call so our Customer Service Representatives can help you select a better time. We do appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible (preferably a few days) so that we can adjust our schedule to accommodate the change.

Do I have to be home for the cleaning?

While we prefer that you or someone of accountable age be home during your appointment, it is not required. We do appreciate having someone there to confirm the areas that will be cleaned, discuss options and address any concerns we may encounter during the service. All of our Service Technicians are employees, not sub-contractors and we are fully insured. Normally we collect payment when we have completed the work so if you are not going to be home, please make arrangements with our Customer Service Representative so we can gain access to the property (keys, codes and how we lock up when we are done) and make payment arrangements.

How often should I get my carpet cleaned?

How often your home or office needs to be cleaned is an individual and personal thing. Each property is different and things like the type of traffic and use, number of people, pets, outdoor environment, etc., contribute to the cleaning cycle. Most Carpet Manufacture require you to have your carpets cleaned with Hot Water Extraction (HWE) every 12 to 18 months in order to maintain their warranty. Zerorez’s patented cleaning process goes above and beyond normal HWE so using Zerorez will help you maintain your carpet’s warranty. Cleaning more frequently will extend the life of your carpet.

Moving large items, breakables and electronics?

We ask that you have all the small items you want out of the room before we arrive or arrange with your local Zerorez franchise to help you with moving the smaller items. 1. Due to liability concerns, we do not move large or heavy furniture like pianos, entertainment centers, bookcases, large beds or other similarly heavy items. 2. We do not move breakable items or electronics like televisions, game systems, computers, lamps, etc. Your technician will do a great job cleaning around any items left in the room.
