THE CITY OF SANTEE, CALIFORNIA

Santee, California is one of those lovely little towns that the residents love. It is located in between the Ocean and Mountains of the Cleveland National Forest. Residents and visitors are only a short 20 miles or so away for some of the more popular beaches in San Diego.

The Locals here really like to do activities outside! There are thousands of acres worth of open spaces and parks to hike, run, or bike to your hearts content. One of the really cool trails that is available is called the San Diego River Trail. Only a part of this trail goes through the city, but Santee's portion will be the first jurisdiction to be finished. This will be a multipurpose path that everyone can use and enjoy.

Another popular trail is the Walker Preserve Trail. This is a nice short trail for those who want a scenic short trail to walk on. It even connects to 2 miles of other trails outside the city for those who want something a little more challenging.
