Solana Beach is a city on the pacific coast, just 22 miles north of San Diego. From San Diego, Solana Beach can be reached by car or the Pacific Surfliner Coaster train. This city is perfect for those who love the beach, hiking, dining, diverse shopping, and nightlife. Solana Beach is a great place to live, work, or visit, because of its perfect weather. The average temperatures are 77 in the summertime and 62 in the winter. Year-round fun is always an option in Solana Beach!

Two all-time favorite nature parks found in Solana Beach are Fletcher Cove Park and Annie’s Canyon Trail. Fletcher Cove Park is a popular spot for regular beach activities such as surfing, surf fishing, sunbathing, building sandcastles, and having a picnic. The park has a basketball court and picnic tables on top of the bluffs with a beautiful view of the ocean. Annie’s Canyon Trail is a slot canyon trail that leads out to a summit viewpoint out over a lagoon and ocean. There are two trail options. One is an easy switchback trail and the other is a more difficult, but very beautiful, slot canyon trail. The slot canyon trail used to be unavailable to the public due to graffiti, but thanks to amazing volunteers the trail is back in great shape!
